Lipidure®

The chemical 2-methacryroyloxyethylphosphorylcholine (MPC) is a groundbreaking, new biocompatible material. NOF became the first company in the world to build a commercial plant capable of producing MPC in forms ranging from monomers to polymers. Because MPC has similar properties to those of cell membranes and contains a polymer substrate, it is highly affinitive to living organs and tissues. This makes it ideal for a wide range of applications, including use in eyecare products such as contact lenses and contact lens solutions, as well as in cosmetics and medical devices. The Lipidure® CM series is developed as coating solutions for improving the biocompatibility of medical devices.
