LIFE SCIENCE PRODUCTS

Business Overview
Following the success of efforts to develop manufacturing technology for MPC polymer containing phospholipid polar groups, NOF moved to create an operational structure for the full-scale development of its Life Science Products Business. This precipitated active moves into new markets for products with MPC polymer applications.

There are a number of fields where MPC polymer can demonstrate its groundbreaking advanced biocompatible functions. Currently, MPC polymer, found in biocompatible-related products supplied by NOF (the LIPIDURE® Series), is used in a wide range of applications, including cleaning and storage solutions for contact lenses, cosmetic ingredients used in haircare and skincare products, and textile processing agents that result in fabrics that are kinder on the skin.

The Life Science Products Business' range of oxidation stress markers for genes, lipids and sugars are also used as diagnostic and research-use agents in research into ageing and lifestyle-related diseases.

Going forward, centered on its unique portfolio of key technologies, the Life Science Products Business will play its part in enhancing the quality of life.
